Prayer Focus - Noticing Repetition

Pray out-loud so that you hear yourself pray. Notice how many times you repeat yourself. After you’ve finished praying, immediately note what caused you to repeat yourself. Were you:

  • In a hurry

  • Not focused

  • Feeling desperate

  • Wanting to make sure that God heard you

  • Other (not listed):

Scripture Study:

Study and then write your interpretation of these Scriptures as it would apply to you and today’s prayer focus.

Ecclesiastes 5:2 “Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.”

Proverbs 10:19 “Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.”

Pray for guidance and focus when you pray. Declare your determination to be more mindful of this fault and your intention to correct it. Write a personal declaration.

Worship: (allow a few minutes to load)

Also known as red cabbage, this variety has a little more health benefits than green cabbage. It helps with heart and bone health, reduces inflammation and protection against certain types of cancers.

This colorful variety of cabbage is low in carbs, high in fiber and is a great source of C and K vitamins.

From the Book

To "Wait on the Lord" means to remain calm and take no action upon yourself because you are expecting (with enthusiasm) a divine outcome to your prayer.
